At Happylands, our provision is thoughtfully designed to support children at every stage of their early years journey. We offer a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Our intentionally small setting allows us to know every child well and tailor our care and learning to meet their individual needs.
Our Learning Environment

Learning at Happylands takes place across a range of carefully planned spaces, including communal areas and two dedicated age‑appropriate rooms. Each space is set up daily with engaging resources and activities that reflect the children who will be using them, ensuring learning is purposeful, responsive, and enjoyable.
Children benefit from:
- Calm, welcoming spaces that promote emotional security
- High‑quality, age‑appropriate resources
- Opportunities for both quiet exploration and active play
- Environments that support independence and confidence
Care and Learning Across the Day
Our provision follows a consistent yet flexible daily rhythm that supports children’s wellbeing while allowing plenty of time for play and exploration. Throughout the day, children experience a balance of:
- Child‑initiated play
- Adult‑led learning experiences
- Group times and shared experiences
- Individual support and nurturing care
Routines such as mealtimes, rest periods, and transitions are handled with sensitivity, supporting children to feel secure and settled.
Inclusive & Individualised Support

We are committed to providing an inclusive provision for all children. Our experienced staff team, including those with additional training in Autism and SEND, adapt environments, activities, and teaching approaches to ensure every child can access and enjoy learning.
We work closely with families and, where appropriate, external professionals to support individual needs and promote positive outcomes for every child.
Our Experienced Staff Team

Children at Happylands are cared for by qualified, experienced practitioners who are passionate about early childhood development. Our staff team:
- Understand the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families
- Support learning through skilled interactions and play
- Hold current safeguarding and paediatric first aid training
Strong attachments and consistent care are central to our provision.
Partnership With Parents
We believe the best outcomes for children are achieved when parents and nursery work together. Our provision includes:
- Regular communication with families
- Opportunities to share children’s achievements and progress
- Respect for family routines, values, and experiences
Parents are always welcome to discuss their child’s development with their Child’s Key Worker or the manager.
A Consistent, High‑Quality Nursery Experience

Across every room, routine, and interaction, our provision reflects our core values: care, quality, inclusion, and community. At Happylands, children are supported to grow into confident, curious learners in an environment where they truly feel they belong.
