We’ve had a great first two weeks of the autumn term ☺️
All of the children have settled back into the nursery routine well.
Our mystery pet was a set of ten baby Indian stick insects! The children have loved learning about them and helping to look after them - although they are difficult to spot in the tank! Their camouflage is fantastic!
Our apple tree has grown some large apples this year and the children loved helping to pick them off the tree.
We’ve been able to get out into the garden a lot as well so far. It’s been perfect for the children to play and make new friends. Some have helped Sarah with the gardening today, we are emptying the saw dust tyre and moving it further back in the garden. We will be using it as another flower planter next year ❤️ ... As we prepare to re open nursery on Tuesday 8th September, welcome old faces and new, please take time to review the information regarding our policy on healthy eating and drinking water access.
Children must come to nursery with a balanced lunch and water bottle suitable for their age group so that they can use it independently. We have reviewed how accessible the water bottles are during the nursery day, especially for our younger children. We are asking parents/carers to label their child’s water bottle ready for next week.
We will have designated and accessible water stations in each room. These will be on a lower level for our under 2’s. Please read the poster, as a reminder about suitable foods and snacks in lunches and the advice on suitable water bottles.

We have a fantastic Autumn term lined up at Happylands, starting with our very first nursery pet arriving in September.
This is going to teach the children the responsibility of caring for another living being and build up their empathy. Plus they will love the pet and enjoy it being part of our Happylands family ❤️

On the last day of term, we were visited by environmental health and inspected for a food hygiene rating. We were awarded with a 5 rating ☺️

The day has come when we finish off the academic year with lots of fun and partying.

Final dates of the summer term:
Saturday 11th July 10am - 12pm nursery open morning for prospective parents who are considering a place at our nursery. Please note - our current families are welcome to come in and participate if they would like to. The activities will be inclusive for all.
Wednesday 15th July: end of year party for the children in the morning
Wednesday 15th July 2pm: Pre school graduation concert in the church. Nursery closes for the summer holidays at 4pm.
