Ofsted Information
Happylands Nursery is registered with Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. Ofsted is the government organisation responsible for inspecting and regulating early years providers to ensure children receive safe, high‑quality care and education.
Our Ofsted Registration
Being registered with Ofsted means that we:
- Meet the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Are inspected against national standards
- Are regularly monitored to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing
- Are held accountable for the quality of care and learning we provide
Our registration confirms that Happylands is a safe, suitable, and compliant setting for early years provision.
Ofsted Inspections
Ofsted inspections focus on how well we:
- Safeguard and promote children’s welfare
- Support children’s learning and development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Work in partnership with parents and carers
- Meet the individual needs of all children, including those with SEND
Following an inspection, Ofsted publishes a report highlighting strengths and any areas for development. We value inspections as an opportunity to reflect, improve, and continually raise standards.
Our Approach to Quality and Improvement
At Happylands, we take a proactive approach to quality assurance. We:
- Regularly review our policies and procedures
- Monitor teaching and learning across the nursery
- Invest in staff training and professional development
- Use feedback from parents, staff, and external professionals
- Reflect on Ofsted guidance and inspection frameworks
Continuous improvement is at the heart of our provision.
